NEW Venue – At the Jindivick Hall
This interactive forum is specifically designed for residents of Jindivick, Drouin West, Crossover, Rokeby and surrounding areas. If you live in these areas you need to have a Bushfire Plan to ensure that you, your family and your pets are safe this coming fire season. A small time investment now, in developing a bushfire plan, may save your life. This forum will work with the community through a specific fire-threat exercise. It will be very hands on and practical and will be facilitated by CFA. Brigade members will be on hand to answer your questions and assist.
CFA will take you through:
- Fire Behaviour – how does fire work
- Interactive / simulated fire activities – Looking at maps of Jindivick and how fire will affect you, where fire could come from etc.
- Importance of a Bushfire Plan and what the plan needs to contain
If you have an existing Bushfire Plan or you need to start from scratch this workshop is for you.
